Frequently asked questions

I forgot my PIN, what should I do?

Visit console.famasia.app, enter your phone number, then tap “Forgot PIN?”. You will receive an OTP by SMS. Enter the OTP, and you will be able to set a new PIN.

How do I add a staff member to my account?

As the pharmacy Owner, go to Staff→ “Add staff member”. Enter their phone number and choose a role (Admin, Pharmacist, or Seller). The staff member will receive an SMS with instructions for setting their PIN.

My payment is taking a long time, where is it?

Mobile money payments take 1 to 3 minutes to complete. If more than 10 minutes have passed without confirmation, contact us with the payment reference (order_id). Selcom can take longer when the mobile networks have problems.

I want to change my plan, how do I do it?

Go to Settings → Plan. Choose a new plan. Changing to a higher plan takes effect immediately (and part of the payment is credited or deducted automatically); changing to a lower plan takes effect in the next period.

Can I use Famasia without internet?

No. Famasia needs internet to save sales and stock. When the network returns, you continue where you left off.

Is my data safe?

Yes. We use HTTPS for connections, bcrypt for PINs, and we store data on AWS (Cape Town). Read more in the Privacy Policy.

Can I get a sales report for a whole month?

Yes. Go to Reports→ choose the report type (Sales, Finance, Debts, Stock), choose the period, then tap Download PDF. Reports include total sales, profit, and a breakdown of payments.

Can I use Famasia with more than one pharmacy?

Yes. The number of branches depends on the plan you choose: higher plans allow more branches, up to unlimited on the top plan. See the pricing page for exact numbers. Each branch has its own stock and sales, but reports show the total.
